The FMV restoration team steam-cleaned the original fabric and completely restored the beech wood frames. Even before the wood was artfully refinished, the frames were torn down, re-doweled and glued to ensure many more decades of stability. Through our refinishing techniques, we kept the chairs true to their original stain and patina. These MCM lounge chairs have so much to love. Designed by Swedish designer Folke Ohlsson for DUX, the “Profil” line offers Scandinavian ingenuity and design with American armchair proportions. These chairs are superbly comfortable. Notice the gentle backward pitch of the chairs, creating a subtle ergonomics effect. The classic, woven tweed fabric may be original but we’re not 100% certain. The windsor tan / brick color fabric, works nicely with the wood frame accent.
Folke Ohlsson was born and raised in Sweden. In 1953, he moved to the United States and founded the internationally successful company Dux Incorporated. The designs of Ohlsson’s armchairs and sofas are appreciated for their graceful combination of traditional details and modernist simplicity. Accordingly, his work has brought many recognition and awards, including the best design at the Milan Triennale in 1964, as well as the Royal Order of the Vasa in Sweden, awarded by King Gustav VI Adolf.

Condition: Refinished. Very Good restored condition. Wood frames have been completely re-glued / doweled and refinished. Fabric has been professionally steam cleaned. No rips or stains in the fabric. Fabric has only minor imperfections.
