Pair of vintge 1980s Post-Modern Vladimir Kagan style black slipper chairs. These chairs fully embody the glamour of the Nineteen-Laties (latter part of the 20th Century). The black fabric is satin-like with a lustrous sheen. There is a black on black embroidered “dash” pattern. This patter in iridescent. Depending on your viewing angle, the pattern presents in a variety of tones of gray to black. A heart shaped seat adds to the charm. These chairs look like inviting works of art with their dramatic channeled fan backs. The fan shaped graduates in height as it wraps the body and reaches skyward. This spiral shape very much resembles the Nautilus chair by celebrated designer, Vladimir Kagan. We were delighted to find these vintage chairs in such outstanding condition. Nonetheless, the chairs have been meticulously detailed and steam cleaned to be tip-top for you.
