Description
Beautifully restored Mid-Century Modern daybed sofa couch in the style of Adrian Pearsall. We have (2) identical sofas available and sold separately. This sofa appears to be soaring like a falcon. The solid beech wood frame and support backs are in outstanding original condition. A true daybed. Remove the back bolster to transform the sofa into a cozy and convenient bed. The original metal spring support system is in outstanding condition and provides ample support. Cushion seat and bolsters are dense, but soft enough to be very comfortable. Circa 1960’s.
The Restoration:
This 20th century design gem has been lovingly restored by our in-house upholstress and cabinet shop. The fabric is not new, it’s newer, but we had it professionally steamed cleaned and it looks great. We did however add new button tufting that gives this blue diamond pattern upholstery a stylish, tailored look. In addition, we added a new canvas-like double density decking to protect the seat cushion from the metal springs. Our cabinet shop added extra security to the backrests and installed new hangar bolts on two loose legs.
