Description
Ib Kofod Larsen for Selig walnut armchair in new black leather upholstery. This expertly restored designer armchair is accompanied by an ottoman by Galloway’s of Tampa. Each piece is of the same vintage and compliment each other well, so we decided to marry the two. Our in-house restoration pulled out all the stops with this one. The walnut wood has been refinished, restoring the luxurious luster. New webbing support straps reside beneath the seat. Both the chair and the ottoman have all new, top-quality, black leather upholstery. Buttons punctuate the cushions on the chair and ottoman.
As they say, there is love in the details. Kofod Larsen has finessed each element of this chair from the joinery of arm to leg, to the unique wide back slats, the blade like arms. Larsen has transformed the ordinary to the extraordinary with his take on the lounge chair. Galloway’s similarly spun a common object to a subject of awe. The ottoman exhibits a unique design with a slightly bowed pillow cradled in a u-shaped base. This is not your common foot stool, and certainly not your common chair. These heirloom quality pieces are functional art, something a weary body and an adoring eye can enjoy.
