Fabulous vintage early 1960s solid teak Danish sofa by Fabian. Stamped with the maker’s mark and “made in Denmark.” This is one of the most remarkable pieces we’ve had the pleasure to offer here at Furnish Me Vintage. Every aspect of this piece was considered. Sumptuous, deep red patina to the teak wood that only comes with age. Delights for the eye from all viewing angles. Exposed spring bands stretched across the contoured teak frame form the back rest. Similar motifs are found in only the highest quality Danish designers such as Kofod Larsen. Seat cushions are all new. Foam is new and tweed slate gray colored fabric is all new. Practically like have a brand new vintage couch. High density foam was used in order to ensure enduring firmness. Delicate details abound… see how the seat area is divided into three section. The leg posts reach beyond the frame with the seat cushions flowing around them. This gives that sought after “floating” look. Search the web, you will not find another Scandinavian couch like this one. This piece came from a military home. Likely privately imported directly from Europe to America. It is truly a unique gem.
