Description
Although not marked by the maker, this exceptional, vintage (late 1970s / early 1980s) solid teak sofa has a distinctive Danish modern design but may actually be Canadian. The sofa feature 3-panels of woven reed cane that cover the sides and backs. The panels integrate exquisitely with the sculpted, carved, solid teak frames. The blade style arms slope up to create a seamless contour. The backside curls back towards the top, elevating this lounge chair amongst its peers. Our team chose a toasted nutmeg (light cognac) leather with black buttons to perfectly compliment the frame. The overall look is classic Scandinavian Modern with a stately Balinese twist.
We have a pair of armchairs that are the same model as this sofa. The armchairs have been restored but they are in a different color leather than the sofa. Please contact us if you are interested in seeing the matching armchairs.
