Restored retro rain lamp. These lamps reached a peak in popularity in the late 1960s to the early 1970s. You can find them today, but they never work. Our lamp was re-stringed and the pumps were repaired. Beads of mineral oil run down the length of the string and recirculates to create a rain like effect. An interior bulb illuminates this magical scene. A Venus statue resides inside, surrounded by artificial plants. The lamp is really remarkable in person. Still photos cannot convey the its captivating presence. It’s ready to go, hangs on a swag chord. Stop by the store to see it… you’ll be happy you did. It’s a marvel of Mid Century American kitsch.
