Description
Handsome pairing of four vintage 1970s Burke Tulip Chairs with a round Lucite dining table. This elegant dining set is a celebration of all things modern. Here we see innovation in materials like fiberglass to create the Burke shell chairs. Advances in 20th Century engineering allowed for a single elegant post instead of four chair legs. Lucite, a proprietary form of clear acrylic, gave us furniture that dances with light like a diamond.
These tulip chairs and acrylic table are perfect bedfellows. The simple pedestal table bases create a clear line of sight to the clear table. The curve of the the fiberglass shell chairs follow the curve of the table’s round glass. The nearly invisible table and clean silhouette of the chairs feels uncluttered… this translates to a greater sense of space in your dining area. The Burke chairs swivel 360 degrees. If you have a room with a view, you won’t miss a thing! The chairs have been restored with new high quality red vinyl upholstery. The vinyl has a pebbled texture that looks just like leather. The chair bases have also been repainted. The table is supported by two independent bases. Get creative about how you arrange the bases to customize the look of the table. The glass is 48″ diameter, 3/8″ thick tempered glass.
