Description
Set of 6 restored Mid-Century Modern Danish dining chairs by Vamdrup Stolefabrik. The FMV restoration team chose this tasty plum fabric and the results were even more delicious than we expected. Or if you prefer wine analogies, it resembles a Petite Sirah. The soft, woven tweed is a blend of lavender, violet, plum and black current. Dark enough for high traffic use, but colorful enough to be fun and expressive. The contrast of the fabric against the rich, reddish-amber teak frames is almost mesmerizing. This set just hit the floor and the rubbernecking is obvious. The sculpted, slender and almost sinister solid teak frames have aged beautifully with rich patina. The wood has patches of heavy grain that looks almost like rosewood. As if this all wasn’t sexy enough, the four button tufts on each back add a layer of tailored sophistication to an otherwise disciplined form.
Sold as a set of (6). All chairs have been reupholstered with new foam and fabric. Frames have been tightened and fully detailed top to bottom. Only minor imperfections remain on the frames (see pics).
We’re not sure who designed these chairs for Vamdrup Stolefabrik, but we tip our hat.
