Description
This handsome pair of mahogany Art Deco nightstands were made by Sieling Modern, vintage 1950s. Each nightstand had a single, spacious drawer at the base. The angular profile of the two-tier nightstand is softened by the elegant feet. Look to the base of the nightstand to see two gracefully curved legs accented with gold at the tips. This touch of glamorous gold is the icing on the cake of the ceruse finish. The “pickled” colorization was quite trendy in post war America, much like the ash gray wood tones that are popular today. Add a touch of old Hollywood glamour to your bedroom with these mid-century modern nightstands.
These nightstands feature their original, unique ceruse pickle finish. Because this finish is so special, we did not want to disturb it by refinishing it. As such, both nightstands are in true age appropriate wear. There are also some spots where the previous owner “touched up” the paint. Look carefully at our photos. They’re imperfect, but will look tremendous under typical interior lighting.
