Made in the US by Steinhafels Fine Furniture of Milwaukee circa 1960s. We’ve never this spunky little MCM armchair before and it really charmed us. Which is probably why we spent so much time on the restoration. The seat could not be salvaged so we reupholstered it in a new, complimentary purple wool fabric. We recreated the button tuft pattern and salvaged the original piping to maintain continuity. We also added extra seat webbing and completely replaced the peel-back padded decking. Our restoration team finished off the restoration with a completely refinished base and professional steam-clean. The multi-tone button tufted blue / purple / teal tweed is in very good overall vintage condition with age appropriate wear on the hand-rest sections. The upholstery on the barrel is original.
