Beautifully restored mid century modern daybed sofa. The famed “Minerva” sofa was designed by Peter Hvidt and Orla Molgaard for France and Son. Manufacturer’s emblem present beneath seat. This 20th century design gem has been lovingly restored with new cushion foam and new period appropraite burnt orange upholstery. The solid teak wood frame and support bands are in outstanding original condition. A true daybed. Remove the back bolster to transform the sofa into a cozy and convenient bed. Peter Hvidt and Orla Molgaard created many enduring and sought after modern designs to come from Scandinavia. This sofa is a archetypal example of their mastery.
