Description
Newly upholstered Mid Century Modern club chair nestled in a solid wood base. Chair body appears to float within the base. An effect often associated with Danish furniture of the period. Several American designers contributed to this look. Floating bases can be found in the work of Jens Risom and Adrian Pearsall among others. Low and sleek. This American made retro chair rivals any of its peers from abroad. Possibly designed by Lawrence Peabody for Nemschoff. This chair is unmarked, but the quality and aesthetic acuity is certainly recognizable. Petite but packing personality. Comfortable as it is beautiful.
