Complete Mid Century Modern king platform bed. Made in Germany. Likely imported by a military family. Vintage 1950s, with the distinctive German ??Rockabilly? flavor of atomic age design. Radiant golden birch wood gives the bed a fresh feel. This is a low profile bed similar to a Danish or contemporary platform bed. Heirloom quality ?? this is a masterpiece of design. German engineering at it??s best ?? only the nation that brought us Bauhaus could give us this gem. A breeze to put together. No flimsy dowels and particle board found in Danish platform beds. This package includes the side rails, foot board, head board, and original box springs. This bed is not a king bed as we know it today. One must use two twin XL mattresseses (as originally intended) rather than a king mattress. Please take careful note of the dimensions listed below.
