Description
The size and proportions make this the ideal record cabinet. Large enough to display a turntable and receiver on top and tons of records inside. The deep, roasted cinnamon tone in the teak wood indicates an early vintage, (late 1950s-early 1960s). A patina of such richness can only be garnered by half a century of age. The cabinet exhibits exceptional craftsmanship throughout. Attributed to Svend Madsen for esteemed Danish cabinet maker, Falster. The artfully carved, long lipped pulls add to the overall elegant design. A celebration of Scandinavian minimalism. The cabinet is both beautiful and high functioning with ample private storage space and adjustable / removable shelving ideal for storing 12″ LP records. The compact stature also makes this cabinet ideal for use as a dry bar. The top of the interior features a slide out / removable drawer. This cabinet is a mix of solid teak and teak veneer over a solid ash or pine core. Stamped “Made in Denmark” and signed on “Bakki 5706” on the back.
