Developed in 1958 by Norman Cherner for Plycraft, cemented in history as one the most dramatic and iconic chairs of American Mid Century Modern design. The Avant Garde design was accomplished using laminated layers of plywood covered with a walnut veneer. Dainty in appearance with a surprisingly astute structural strength.
