Comfort is king with this stylish Nineteen-Laties (vintage 1980s) barrel chair by Howard Furniture. American made, solid oak throughout! The wide and deep chair give the occupant plenty of room to get cozy. The semi-circular chair surrounds the body, pampering it with plenty of plush pillows. This chair comes complete with an ottoman. Casters allow one to easily roll the ottoman to the desired position, and push it aside when it’s time to get up. Markers of fine craftsmanship are evidenced throughout. The steam bent oak lumber is bound by finger joints at all corners and crux of the bends. The seat is supported by steal springs. Cushions are ample, giving plenty of padding. Pick up the ottoman cushion to reveal a gorgeous parquet pattern. Howard did not skimp out on anything! Amazingly enough, the fabric is original and in outstanding condition. Not a stain in sight.
We were lucky enough to find an entire suite of Howard living room furniture. There is a second arm chair and ottoman although they are in different fabric than the chair pictured.
