Description
Striking black Yukon wolf pelt. Masterfully executed taxidermy. Pelt is mounted to a felt backing. There are small loops at the backs of the paws, neck and tail for wall mounting. Use as a rug or hang on the wall. Hunted in Alaska, during the winter, in the 1970s according to the original owner. The animal proudly exhibits a thick winter coat. Had it been summer, his very would be less dense and near bald toward the belly. Lush black coat with areas of beige and burst of gray. The eyes and mouth are exquisite. It is as if one is looking into the face of a live animal.
