Signed, limited edition print entitled “The Wind Marries The Seed” by American modernist poet and artist Irene Rice Pereira. Ms. Pereira was a seminal figure in the American modern movement and regular among the early 20th Bohemians of Greenwich Village. This image, vintage 1953, is a part of her “four myths” series. You can see other examples of Pereira’s work in the collections of National Gallery of Art, Brooklyn Museum of Art, Smithsonian American Art Museum, Whitney Museum of American Art, Philadelphia Museum of Art… and a number of other fine institutions.
