An outstanding set of six authentic J.L. Møller Model 85 dining chairs, crafted in Denmark in the late 1960s to early 1970s. Model 85 distinguished by the chair’s elegantly sculpted ladder backs. This Danish teak classics feature the precision joinery and organic shaping that define the fine work from the Møller workshop.
The chairs feature beautifully grained teak frames with the soft curvature, tapered legs, and seamless transitions that characterize Møller’s craftsmanship at its peak. The original fabric, sourced from the original owner, remains on all six chairs and is preserved in VERY VERY GOOD vintage condition. The frames exhibit only light signs of age, and the teak retains a warm, even tone with minimal wear, consistent with careful and respectful use.
With its graceful proportions, tactile materials, and timeless Danish modern sensibility, the Model 85 remains one of J.L. Møller’s most compelling chair designs.

Condition: Very good original condition. The original fabric has been steam cleaned. A few light “ghost stains” can be seen at different lighting angles. These stains are so fain it is difficult to get them to appear in photos. The wood frames have some scuffs and scratches. The maker’s mark is hidden by the upholstery beneath the seat. We had to peel back the fabric to find the label (see photos).
