Description

Rare, set of 8, Kai Kristiansen for Schou Andersen Model #31 Danish rosewood dining chairs. The vintage 1960s Danish chairs have been beautifully restored with new premium black vinyl upholstery, matching original spec. The unmistakable, architectural form evidences the designer’s genius. Each chair stands as a work of art, captivating the eye from every angle. Comfortable as they are beautiful. The bowed backrest enhances comfort while it cradles the back. Your dinner guests will be at ease with the lounge like pitch achieved with the angled rear legs. This set is a step above your typical Danish chair. The rich black cherry rosewood perfectly compliments the new black upholstery. This is Scandinavian design at it’s best. It’s no wonder why collectors continually seek out works by Kai Kristiansen.

19.5″ Wide x18.5″ Deep x 29.5″ High (17.5″ Seat Height)

Condition: Updated with new black vinyl upholstery matching original spec. The vintage rosewood frames have some light cosmetic wear including scratches and nicks. These marks occur on the legs and back area of the wood. Some areas of the wood look dark and some have a brighter highlighted tone on the wood. One foot has a hairline crack on the bottom which is not causing any functional issues.
