Description
Cane and teak come together beautifully in expert form with these Karl Erik Ekelsius dining chairs. Produced by J.O. Carlsson of Vetlanda, Sweden. these are rare find here in America. Finding a group of 8 is even more special. The 1960s era teak wood has developed a radiant, red-orange patina. This radiant hue only comes with age… this is why we seek vintage. Miraculously the woven caned backs are in excellent condition and look beautifully aged with a honey tone. The seats are restored with new high quality black vinyl upholstery matching the original look. Slight bows and gentle angles add an understated elegance to these minimalist chairs. These Scandinavian gems are sculptural, functional art.
This listing is for 8 chairs. The dining table pictured is sold separately. Inquire if interested.
