Description
Bassett Aztec low dresser, vintage 1960s. The American made double dresser features six drawers with distinctive Aztec inspired pulls. The dresser is distinguished by it’s ornately carved solid wood handles. This iconic dresser was designed by Leo Jiranek for Bassett and produced between 1963-1967. The Central American inspired design captured the “exotica” zeitgeist of the 1960s. Often mis-labeled “Bassett Mayan” … the “Aztec” collection was advertised as having a “Mayan walnut finish.” Complete your bedroom with the matching highboy dresser and nightstand (sold separately).
60″ Wide x 19″ Deep x 30″ High
Condition: The vintage dresser presents nicely, flaws evident on close inspection. It has discoloration on top & repairs to top edge. There are also a few very small dents.
