This over-the-top, super-tufted, plush canape style art deco sofa is even more comfortable than it looks. Soft and sensuous gold bronze velour in absolutely mint original condition. Canape style fanned shell tailoring on the sides is punctuated by the sculpted backrests at either end. One does not have to compromise comfort for style with this Art Deco and Hollywood Regency inspired couch.
The overall color is hard to pin down. The velour is so iridescent that the color looks different from every angle. This art deco sofa can go from gold, to bronze, copper, brownish-tan and even chartreuse. We’re guessing this sofa is circa early 1950’s. The material appears to be original but may have been reupholstered in the 60’s or 70’s.
