Description
Bookcase designed by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen for John Stuart. True solid teak, no plywood or MDF (except for shelves and back panel). The finger joinery is clearly visible from a distance and adds to the overall charm while illustrating craftsmanship. The old growth trees that supplied manufacturers during the mid-century are long gone. Ideal as a media cabinet, bookcase or bar, but versatile enough to fit seamlessly in any room of your home. The interior features open cabinet space and adjustable / removable shelves. The shelves are also solid teak and are held in place by adjustable metal glides.
Peter Hvidt: (1916–1986) was a Danish architect and furniture designer, co-founder of Hvidt & Mølgaard.
