Description
This unusual table is made in Denmark but crafted from cherry wood. Fans of Danish furniture may find this wood type unusually because Scandinavian furniture is almost exclusively made from teak or rosewood. However, this table dates from the early 21st century. Teak is scarce these days so Danish furniture maker’s have shifted to cherry as an alternative. The strength of cherry and warm orange tone are comparable to that of teak. This original table is stamped “made in Denmark” beneath. There are two leaf extensions that neatly stow beneath the table top. Pull each end to easily extrude the leaves. One person can effortlessly maneuver these leaves with a sliding motion. No need to store the leaves in a closet or beneath the bed. This space saving and convenient design is a favorite among our customers.
