Description
Original abstract painting, signed “Goldberg.” This piece parallels Abstract Expressionist work from the New York School active during the same period. It is signed on the back “Goldberg, 1969, NY, NY.” There are also arrows indicating the painting is intended to be hung vertically. The abstract piece features multi-layered, multi-textured streaks of deep purple, lavender, and metallic silver on canvas. The painter sneaks little instances of pink — adding visual variety. Goldberg was free with his application of paint. The majority of the image was created by pouring paint. In other passages evidence of knife painting is clear. The painting is housed its original wood frame.
This listing is for the larger painting alone. The larger (vertical orientation), matching painting is sold separately. Inquire if you are interested in the smaller painting as well.
