Description
Mid-century Hollywood Regency Henredon credenza from the Town and Country line. Time capsule piece in outstanding condition. Stunning diamond starburst design adorns the front facade. The deep geometrical relief motif is signature of the Morrocan style. The all wood (no composite) chassis on this Henredon credenza has an earthy, rustic, purposely distressed finish. Look closely and you will see a fly speck (black dots) and intentional faux fine scratches — (this is the original finish, not a flaw). Doors are push-open push-close with original working hardware.
The interior top drawer features a removable, hand stitched cloth silverware pad. Use this showstopper as an entertainment media center in the living room or as a traditional sideboard, buffet or credenza in the dining room.
The piece is in outstanding condition. Professionally detailed top to bottom. The base has been re-painted in the original oxidized flat gold color. All (4) castors underneath have been secured and reinforced to ensure proper function and years of usability. Exterior door fronts have virtually now flaws. Top has been preserved with a fresh coat of finish.
About Henredon Fine Furniture Company:
Henredon was founded in Morganton, North Carolina in 1945 by four men determined to build furniture of custom quality. The initial product line consisted of just three chests. It has since mushroomed into hundreds of beautiful wood and upholstery designs for every room.
While new manufacturing techniques are used you will still find that there is a considerable amount of hand and detail work performed on each piece. In these days of mass production a Henredon item will truly be unique.
Henredon has always taken a leadership role in designing and manufacturing some of the finest furnishings available. Our success is based on the talent and effort of the individuals that work for Henredon. Today, among people of discriminating taste, the name Henredon represents the best.
