Durability and beauty were hallmarks of American 20th Century design. While the Danish concentrated on knock-down furniture with dainty silhouettes, Americans built their furniture to be tough. The sleek seat is perfectly supported by a solid oak frame. It doesn’t get much heartier than solid oak! All original steel springs and hardware are intact and mechanically sound. Our restoration team refinished the oak arms, showcasing the extraordinary wood grain. The cinnamon colored vinyl upholstery shows nearly no signs of wear or use. The chair is a true recliner. Push backward to recline the chair to the desired angle. As you push back, the retractable foot rest springs upward.
