Completely restored, Mid-Century Modern high back “blade arm” lounge chair designed by Ib Kofod-Larsen for Selig. Professionally reupholstered in full grain light forest green “semi-distressed” leather. This timeless lounge chair exudes the quintessential Mid-Century Modern style that has inspired countless imitations and variations on the theme. Sleek, subtle, sculpted, sloping lines give this chair an unmistakably Scandinavian Modern profile. Today’s designers have mimicked this look in countless contemporary creations, but failed to improve on the perfection of this original. The profile on this chair commands respect and exudes dignified masculinity. This heavy duty leather is so thick you could use it make boots, but is still smooth the touch. We chose a semi-distressed pale green color to add a level of period appropriate charm and authenticity.
Completely disassembled for re-upholstery. New leather professionally tailored to match original pattern and style. Fully detailed and reassembled to ensure rock solid stature. Original metal springs and cushioning are in excellent original and fully functioning condition. Solid beechwood frame has original finish that we touched up and detailed to look excellent.
