Description
Our restoration team decided on a pebbled, Congnac-coffee, genuine leather hide to keep this lounge chair as handsome and stately as possible. Just one glimpse and you can hear the ice cube clinking in the rocks glass. Single malt scotch and crackling fireplace are not included. Designed by husband and wife Tove and Edvard Kindt-Larsen for France & Son, there’s no shortage of style on this uber-low-profile solid teak frame. The signature open back with “V” support is a stand-out feature along side the masterful joinery that seamlessly connects it to the sloped and tapered blade arms.
Circa late 50’s. Designer stamps and original brass France & Son label on underside of frame. The seat cushion conceals the designer stamp, so we photographed it during restoration. The seat cushion has wood frame and metal spring suspension that is fully in tact.
