Description
Pair of handsome Danish teak side tables by celebrated designer, Grete Jalk. The end tables feature slatted racks beneath the main table top. The Mid-Century Modern era end tables were produced for Poul Jeppesen Mobelfabrik. The solid teak tables feature elevated lips along the side edges. These graceful ridges have a diminishing slope which leads the eye along the vanishing line. This element represents a keen understanding of classical design philosophy pioneered by the Greeks. Jalk brings ancient knowledge into the modern design lexicon, a true master of her craft. JP Mobelfabrik’s logo along with Grete Jalk’s name and the Danish Control stamp all appear beneath the table top.
We have a Ole Wanscher Poul Jeppesen coffee table available that would pair nicely with these side tables. The coffee table is sold separately. Inquire if you are interested in the coffee table.
17.25” Wide x 30” Deep x 20.5” High
Condition: The tables are clean except for some scratches on the legs. The table tops both have a darker area of patina where lamps once sat. One table has a small spot on top.
