Exceptional birdseye maple slab coffee table with natural live edge. This table caught our eye for it’s distinctly modern spin on they typical rustic slab. Notice how the top surface has been expertly milled to have a perfect plane. The millwork creates a sleek knife edge where it meets the undulating organic edge. The designer carries Modern aesthetics to the base with a George Nakashima inspired leg support. In fact, the table exhibits many Nakashima inspired qualities. This table is unmarked but came from a home furnished exclusively with designer pieces and original fine art. While the details of it’s provenance are unknown, the fine craftsmanship hints that it may be a studio or custom creation.
