Description
This fully restored mid-century modern arm chair is of exceptional quality and design. We’re all familiar with the seemingly standard, wood-frame mid-century lounge chair. This specimen blows its peers out of the water. It came to us tattered and in desperate need of some love. We gave it more than just a little love. The solid walnut wood frame has been hand sanded and refinished, revealing a richness only found in old growth trees. Our upholstery team added new webbing support straps, new foam and new orange upholstery. Essentially, you are getting a “new” vintage chair. Let’s talk about what makes this design so special. The legs and arms are gracefully contoured with atomic age flare. The craftsmanship is to such a high caliber that the pieces forming the arm and legs appear to have a virtually seamless transition. Turn to the rear to find wide slats forming the back supports. This design element is highly unusual for an American chair. In fact, many of the features of this chair are highly unusual. The mysteriously luxurious chair is not labeled, but has all of the hallmarks of a designer piece.
