This dazzling, distinct and bizarre gem from the early 70’s ran with the tagline “Stereo Lays An Egg” and combined the iconic egg chair with built-in speakers. It may be a flashback, but a quick look through any design mag shows that this iconic Panasonic Audio Egg would have no trouble finding a home in today’s modern interior market.
Our restoration team channeled their inner MORK and connected with ORSON to tackle this project. The original vinyl upholstery was replaced with NEW mouth-watering yellow leather and new foam. The result is a highly durable and super-silky interior that will stand the test of time. The original speakers were replaced with higher quality, slightly larger speakers that sound far superior. The metal speaker grill covers were re-painted and the entire fiberglass egg shell received a serious buffing. We’re certain you won’t find a more sublime representation of this egg chair anywhere (if you can find one). Simply run speaker wire from your stereo, directly into the back panel and you’re good to go.
