Oversized Tye of California table lamp with novel teal harlequin pattern. The vintage lamp is signed with the maker’s name and production year, 1956. The extra tall lamp is in remarkable original condition. The frosted glass diffuser is newer, post-market. The playful jester (harlequin) diamond pattern is indicative of the time. The diamond motif was frequently found on decorative items and furniture of the 1950s. Look closely to see the textured ceramic surface further embellished with gold glitter. Tye of California specialized in elegant decorative lamps in the 1950s. The lamps have since become a favorite among collectors. The lamp has been tested and works just as good as it did over half-a-century ago! A testament to American design and craftsmanship.
