Vintage 1960s Mediterranean Gothic Revival table lamp. Fanciful scroll work, detailed embossed patterns, throughout and gold colored metal contrasting with black spires give a distinct Baroque feel. These elaborate embellishments along with the orange and green stained glass bring to mind the great Cathedrals of Europe. The lamp is made of metal that is gold colored… but it’s not all brass. A black Italian marble disc anchors the lamp at it’s base. Light emits from the lantern at center. The lantern is four sided. Two sides have orange glass panels, the other two glass panels are Emerald green. The lamp emits an ethereal, magical light quality once illuminated. This surreal lighting experience is the same ambiance church architects achieve with their stained glass.
