K37 Buffet designed by John Van Koert for Drexel’s “Profile” collection. The luxurious American walnut wood sideboard is a powerhouse of storage. Two cabinets at left and right each house a single fixed shelf. The top drawer is divided and felt lined for flatware. Use this piece as a buffet as originally intended. Otherwise repurpose the unit as a TV Stand. Great attention was paid in the details here, all vantages hold a surprise for the eye. Notice the slight architectural angle to the legs and the wave-like span between them. John Van Koert was a former jewelry designer. His jeweler’s touch is seen in the drawer pulls. The tear drop shaped pulls could easily be mistaken for elegant earrings or brooches. The bar shaped pulls emulate a bird in flight, as fine as a platinum bracelet.
